The KarkadiSeal™ is a performance-based designation issued by Karkadi LLC ("Karkadi") to AI systems that meet defined scoring thresholds during monitored testing periods. These Certification Terms govern the issuance, use, display, and revocation of the KarkadiSeal™.
Critical distinction: The KarkadiSeal™ is a performance designation based on monitored test results. It is not a legal certification, regulatory approval, compliance attestation, or endorsement by any government or standards body.
1. What the KarkadiSeal™ Represents
The KarkadiSeal™ indicates that an AI system has been continuously monitored by Karkadi and has met or exceeded defined performance thresholds across structured test scenarios during the certification period. Thresholds are based on:
- Accuracy rate across tested scenarios
- Hallucination rate (fabricated or incorrect outputs)
- Safety response handling
- Consistency across repeated scans
2. What the KarkadiSeal™ Does NOT Represent
The KarkadiSeal™ does not:
- Guarantee the correctness, safety, or reliability of any AI system's outputs
- Certify compliance with any law, regulation, or standard — including but not limited to the EU AI Act, GDPR, Colorado AI Act, or any other regulatory framework
- Replace legal review, regulatory audit, or professional compliance assessment
- Guarantee future performance of the certified system
- Constitute an endorsement of the AI system's underlying technology, vendor, or operator
3. Certification Period and Renewal
The KarkadiSeal™ is valid for a period of six (6) months from the date of issuance. To maintain the designation, the AI system must:
- Remain under active Karkadi monitoring for the duration of the certification period
- Continue to meet performance thresholds during regular scans
- Complete a renewal assessment before the certification period expires
If a renewal assessment is not completed before expiration, the KarkadiSeal™ lapses automatically and must not be displayed.
4. Badge Usage Rules
If your AI system has been awarded the KarkadiSeal™, you may display the badge on your website, marketing materials, and product interfaces subject to these rules:
- No modification. The KarkadiSeal™ badge must be displayed exactly as provided by Karkadi. You may not alter the badge's design, colors, proportions, or text.
- Link to verification. The badge must link to the Karkadi verification page (provided at the time of issuance) so that visitors can confirm the certification status.
- No misleading claims. You may not use the badge in a way that implies legal compliance, regulatory approval, or guarantees about your AI system's outputs.
- Active certification only. The badge may only be displayed while the certification is active and in good standing. You must remove the badge within 7 days if the certification expires, is suspended, or is revoked.
5. Revocation
Karkadi reserves the right to revoke the KarkadiSeal™ at any time if:
- The AI system no longer meets performance thresholds during monitoring
- The monitoring subscription lapses or is terminated
- The badge is displayed in a misleading manner
- The customer violates the Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy
Upon revocation, you must remove the KarkadiSeal™ badge from all materials within 7 days. Continued display after revocation constitutes a violation of these terms.
6. Verification Page
Each KarkadiSeal™ issuance includes a unique verification URL. This page displays the system name, certification date, expiration date, and current status (active, expired, or revoked). The verification page is publicly accessible to allow third parties to confirm certification status.
7. Trademark
KarkadiSeal™ is a trademark of Karkadi LLC. Use of the mark is licensed solely for the purpose of displaying active certification status as described in these terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
8. Limitation of Liability
The KarkadiSeal™ is provided on an "as is" basis. Karkadi makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the certification or its value. Karkadi is not liable for any claims, losses, or damages arising from the issuance, display, or revocation of the KarkadiSeal™. Liability limitations in the Terms of Service apply fully.
